Hello, I got a G20 318i from Germany, Live System, European region. Now I'm located in North Africa. Should I change region or I can install North Africa Map directly with associated FSC Code?

Newbie to BMW cars. Installed map update on 2018 430i Gran Coupe iDrive6 without a hitch. Used a 64 GB USB 3.2 thumb drive formatted exFat.

Hello, i wanted to check if my car recognizes the updated maps before purchasing the code - unfortunately it doesn't. I formatted a 64GB USB stick with ex-FAT on a Mac, copied the extracted data, including Folder on the stick, however the car tells me that no update has been detected...

@peter Free maps comes with step by step instructions. There is clearly stated to do FAT32 and what extra steps you have to do on Mac.

My BMW already has an FSC valid until 31/12/2099. Can I purchase only the JOY map files without buying another Lifetime FSC?

I purchased EVO lifetime North America for my BMW G12 750ix on August 18. The download and update was straigth forward without having to type the FSC code on your car; rather, prepare a folder in you USB that contains the download and install. The moment you put the USB in your car, it recognises it and starts updating automatically. This is very good, and I'm happy with my purchase. I highly recommend OEN NAVIGATIONS.
