    Hi all,

after maps downloading, instructions were that when formating USB drive, it should be done as FAT32. Done that and tryed it in my car, but nothing happened. There was a comment on one site on a web that for NEXT maps USB drive should be formated as exFat, did that, then done Clean&Eject with CleanEject app (free to use), and few seconds after putting USB drive it was recognised, suggested that update can be done (really old 2014 maps) and about half an hour later it finished successfuly in F56 Mini.

Hope this info will help to someone, and here is how that information looks like..

""USB size must be 64gb with FAT32 format if map style is PREMIUM, if map style is NEXT then usb size must be 64gb with exfat format, if MAP Styles are EVO, ROUTE, WAY then usb size can be 32/64 gb but usb format must be exfat.""

    Regards to all

@XPCTNXPCTD Thanks for your suggestion and for sharing what worked for you.

Sometimes FAT32 works fine, but sometimes it doesn't—it often depends on the car's specific firmware version and map version.

We've now created a dedicated Map Download Manager (available for both Windows and Mac) that handles everything automatically: downloading, extracting, correctly formatting the USB drive, removing hidden/ghost files, and copying the maps over.

You can check out its features here: https://oemnavigations.com/pages/bmw-map-download-manager
All paid orders now include this tool.

The download manager does not start up on my MAC which has the latest OS, Tahoe 26.2. I've posted a message on mail to ask for help. Is there another way to download the map file?
